Weekend WOW Factor: Kanye. How to meet a President

I've no idea what's going on with Kanye West.
This clip is something else, and Trumps face.. is priceless.

Kanye said something about not having his father around which was quite moving.. in fact he said so much that it's almost as if he's been holding so much in and now it's all bursting out

It's wrong to say that only someone mentally ill would support Trump, ( plus many did when he was a 'mere businessman') so we can't assume that he is mentally unwell just because of his love for Trump, but based on his current behaviour, it's possible that he's slightly out of balance from the creative genius Kanye we've come to know and love.
We need to give him a break..
Cocky Kanye was kinda cool, but he seems kinda vulnerable currently
President Trump can be quite funny times, and one thing they both have in common, is they are extremely confident people.

So how does Any meet a President?
With enthusiasm, accolades and adulation, adulation, adulation

Meeting President Kagami

Tips for meeting President Kagami? not too much eye contact, and please get to the point!. In fact' that's exactly what the President said. I could tell he was losing patience when his leg started twitching.
Funny, he's always kinda scared me... but he looked so much like Obama from the back and his voice was so high and soft, that he actually came across a lot less intimidating.
Advice from Kagami?... be confident... (and don't waste my time!) :)

Why is President Buhari playing with his hands so much?
I tend to do that if nervous or uneasy.....is he nervous or uneasy?
To be honest Kanye and Trump seem to have more rapport than these two

'and err, how did you do with the young women that were kidnapped.. how is that going?'
direct and straight to the point. Kagame would be proud of the directness of that question

How to meet President Buhari
Look at him, and ask how he's getting on with the women that were kidnapped. Then, an hour later... once he's answered your question:) give him a big hug, and tell him you'll send him a message via WhatsApp.

There are already a A few murmuring's about Barrow's Presidency I've been reliably informed.
Anyway, How best to meet him?
Don't look directly in his eyes lol!
To be honest, I can barely hear what he's saying.. he has distractingly handsome eyes (when sitting down)
I simply can't deal with that... huh?!..what did he just say??? :)

Okay, let me try again....
:) nope, stil distracted..heehee.

Here's Obama speaking to a predominantly female audience with ease.
How to greet Obama?, like an old friend ( you think you know), with an easy confidence, and get ready for some jokes..

This remains a favourite of mine.
Classic Obasanjo
How do you meet ex President OBJ?
With a smile (and your tongue FIRMLY in your cheek)

Someone once told me I could talk my way out of a paper bag, but OBJ, this ex President of Nigeria is in a league of his own...an absolute Don.
Teach me teacher... and I'll have the keys to the kingdom
'Steve...did he mention Obassanjoooooooooour..' lol!

African First Ladies

Sometimes I feel for them o.

Being married to a man who becomes President must come with some trials in addition to the benefits.
But Janet Museveni.
Janet Janet Janet. 1st lady of Uganda, how I feel for her on this

Husbands eh, why don't they listen?. Try anyway... talk to your husband Janet.
Did anyone else see the clip of the president spitting into a tissue in public, at a Press conference?..on the world stage?.

I'm sure she can't have been too pleased about that

The look of love..heehee

Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

Where is the Presidential decorum?
Putting aside Bobby Wine....If that doesn't cost him a few votes from the ladies I don't know what will

Anyway... dinner time? :)

Let's Talk Mental Health

Today has marked World Mental Health Day

There remains a stigma attached to poor mental health in African Caribbean communities, and despite the fact that one in four people across the board will experience poor mental health at some point in their lives, it remains something we rarely talk about.

"According to mentalhealth.org, African-Caribbean people in the UK are three to five times more likely to be diagnosed and admitted to hospital for schizophrenia, compared to other ethnic groups. According to the 2014 Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing by the  Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey, white British people were the ethnic group most likely to report receiving treatment compared with around 7 per cent of people in minority ethnic groups (including White non-British). Black adults had the lowest treatment rate, at 6.2 per cent".[click for more]

A report in 2010 stated that 'the effects of social disadvantage, such as high unemployment, poor housing and experiences of racial discrimination, are considered to negatively impact the mental health of African-Caribbeans', yet despite that, remain the least likely to seek help.

Within African Caribbean communities mental health is often misunderstood, added to that, a distrust of government services, African Caribbean communities have tended more towards self reliance, inward looking, and often dismiss issues with phrases such as 'sort yourself out', 'be a man' or 'man up' (if you're a man) or simply, 'get over it'.
Some however, may turn to the church, whilst others may even see issues as a result of witchcraft.

Yet plainly put, it's ok to talk.
To encourage our men to talk when pressures become overwhelming, and see poor mental health, not as a weakness, but increasingly an outcome of our modern stressful times.
Understand that women do need to talk, without the dismissive trope of 'nagging woman'

Rephrasing mental health certainly helps, so words such as 'stressed' are understood by men, and emotional well being connects well with women.

Regardless, as we recognise World Mental Health Day, let us practice being kinder, to ourselves... and to each other x
