There was an 'Islam Roadshow' in Dalston Yesterday.
A large banner stood out above the stall... It read... 'Islam is superior'.
I suspect it was designed to attract attention and get people talking. I didn't take a photo... ( unfortunately)
However, the 'roadshow' did succeed in attracting attention.. and there were a few discussions being had with passers by
Two stalls, one for the men, and one for the women
" Find out more about Islam?".. one woman suggested...
I'm accustomed to the nation of Islam being in that 'spot' but this was a different group altogether.
It dawned on me that Islam is experiencing its '15mins of fame' perhaps... so to speak.
Well...as with most things a counter narrative will always be needed.
There is more to being a 'good citizen' than speaking English, for sure... but it helps [click]
We (Brits) often pride ourselves on being a multicultural country, or at least we used to. (post war)
However, multiculturalism continues to experience increased scrutiny.
British values, Britishness, and British culture requires not only (re) defining, but according to some.. protecting.
