Happy Birthday Songs of Praise.. love a great hymn..

My mum has me so used to songs of praise on a Sunday..it's as standard as rice and peas.
Today is the 50th birthday of the show apparently.. so here are two nice hymns to enjoy over brunch:)

  1. Happy Birthday indeed like yourself my mother without fail used to have us watching heavenly praises....I suppose back then I watched with dislike but have come to appreciate over the years that on a sunday evening watching a bit of soul revival can set you up for a wonderful week...

  2. Funny isn't it..
Back in the day, just the theme tune used to remind me of a boring Sunday..it seemed to be followed by something else I used to find quite dull..Last of the summer wine'..
Truth is.. I find it peaceful, relaxing, and like you say.. prayer, praise, and wonderful hymns can really set you up for a great week..

    Great show..I appreciate it now
btw, if you're having a laid back day..LOTSW is really quite funny..:)

  4. Nora Battys stockings, now that takes me back a few years!!
Tradition and routine, the backbone of a happy childhood. Antiques road show, songs of praise and last of the summer wine...
