    I do love these songs. They are part of my history, my growing up... but I would also say that many of these songs appear to advocate suffering. They promote the role of victimhood...releasing an individual of individual responsibility. Many to this day are stuck in a victim mentality... perpetuated by a subculture that promotes...safety for the outsiders.
    It’s an illusionary safety, yet...grounded in spiritual truths

    However, I learnt a great deal from them... and will never forget that...
