"The Personal is Political"
African diaspora political commentary, life-love-and music.
When I was a kid, one of my old aunties absolutely adored Nat King Cole. To her, he was the epitome of smooth masculine sophistication. That voice! His stylish clothes and bearing!
I can relate .. when I look back at old clips.. something about him. I love to hear Nat.. especially at this time of year.
Thank you for the story of Nat King Cole - I did not realize he left us so soon. I do know every performer spoke of him being the ultimate gentleman. I wish Love and Respect flowed easily through humankind . . . instead of being a December Story told - like some far off myth. It's people - like you - keeping the story line alive in the actual world. Thank You - (some of my teachers would say "Thank You For 'Doing The Work.") I am grateful for you in my world. Sending YOU Wishes for Peace Profound.Love & Love to You,
Thank you Maggid. I'm glad you enjoy my posts.. Love to you too :)
ps . . I just found your book list - with one i had not, yet - read . . . oh coolness - thank you!
That is cool..
