Day 1 in Abuja- Nigeria

I finally made it. Nigeria is lovely. Abuja is a sight to behold with its beautiful hills and vast roads. My journey in was eventful, from a passenger passing out on board the plane to a chap who kept checking on me just to make sure I was ok.
I was ready for Abuja
ready for the infamous Nigerian way
Yet from journey to arrival , I've met some of the most pleasant and helpful people

The fiercest thing I've encountered ..is the heat
Abuja is HOT!

And I'm very happy with that..

We may not always agree, but we can disagree with love for such is the beauty of life.

If I could ask anything of you, it would be that you step outside of what you know, and embrace people from other backgrounds, to try to build genuine friendships that span across the economic and racial divide.

If we want to put an end to isms such as racism, maybe we need to begin closer to home. Reserve judgments and open our minds to new ways of thinking…new ways of being.

It’s not easy breaking with the norm, but it’s worth a try.

I may not know how to be a lot of things..

but I know how to be me.
